Super Bowl LII Experience
Minneapolis hosted Super Bowl LII, on Feb. 4, 2018 where the Philadelphia Eagle defeated the New England Patriots (41-33). The game was played at U.S. Bank Stadium making this the second time that a Super Bowl was played in Minneapolis, after Super Bowl XXVI at the Metrodome during the 1991 season. Super Bowl LII was much more than football – it was an opportunity to embrace the Bold North and its surrounding festivities and events. Besides the concerts and volunteer opportunities, I personally enjoyed the Super Bowl Experience Driven by Genesis. This was a pro football interactive theme park, which offered fans a unique chance to get involved in various exhibits and games. Much of the activities included youth football clinics, free player autograph sessions, photo sessions, off the field with behind-the-scenes access to NFL Network player and celebrity interviews, the chance to train like an NFL player at Combine Corner with the 3 Cone Drill, 40-Yard Dash and the Broad Jump and more. This was amazing and an experience I will always remember.
